Rachel believes passionately in passing on her knowledge to the next generation of violinists and period performers. She delights in working with amateur and professional students of all standards.

Rachel is frequently asked to give masterclasses, courses, lectures on performance practice and presentation, and holds several teaching posts as well as developing new associations through outreach with concert promoters the world over. Recent collaborations have included teaching at the Juilliard School of Music, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, teaching residencies for both Early Music Days 2013 at Esterhazy Castle and Verein Cordia in Bruneck, and an ongoing project for young ABRSM students and teachers hosted by the National Centre for Early Music.

The Masterclass Media Foundation have recorded a Bach solo violin and cello masterclass that Rachel gave at the Three Choirs Festival which is available on DVD.


Rachel also raises funds through the Mozart Music Fund to support tuition for youngsters wanting to learn instruments.
