About · Brecon Baroque Festival

Taken over in 2005 by Rachel and Tim Cronin, the Brecon Baroque Festival takes its name from the traditional Mid Wales market town where it is based. Nestling in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons National Park in the County of Powys, this magical spot at the confluence of two rivers, the Usk and the Honddu, has always been a popular destination offering visitors spectacular scenery.

The festival, held annually at the end of October, unites locals and visitors alike in a celebration of baroque music and entertainment. As its Musical Director, Rachel brings international artists to Brecon audiences for performances in the beautiful Cathedral and in Theatr Brycheiniog. The festival also supports collaborations with local artists including the Cathedral Choir and hosts events such as the annual Baroque Ball.
