They fall in love, only to be thwarted by the monstrous Cyclops – Polyphemus. In a jealous rage he murders Acis, leaving Galatea bereft. In her despair, she turns the blood of her dead lover into a river, forever flowing into the sea.
Touring from January 2014, the performances feature RWCMD students alongside the professional company.
